FISH TACO BLOG

Chat ‘N’ Chew, the kitschy diner/restaurant off of union square is a great place to warm up from the cold and enjoy a can of PBR and some comfort food. Unfortunately, their Fish Tacos could use some work. The homemade tortilla was a good effort, but perhaps a little over cooked. Like eating your fish tacos wrapped in a limp tortilla chip. There was also a red (possibly ranchero) sauce covering the fish that tasted like a blend between marinaraand ketchup that really had no reason to be there. On the up side, the pico de gallo and white saucewere served on the side, allowing me to portion those as wanted. The fish was thick and decent tasting – possibly catfish. May be better to stick to the “thanksgiving on a bun” dish instead.
