Toloache, Julian Medina’s midtown mexican hotspot, is nestled on the edge of Times Square. Their fish tacos are some of the better dishes in the area and some of the best fish tacos I’ve tried in New York.
According to the menu, the fish tacos contain “Baja-style tilapia, spicy jicama slaw, and guacamole.” The take-out menu lunch portion has two tacos for $11. The fish was delightfully crispy and generously portioned, almost too large for the taco. Spicyness was mild, but present. The addition of guacamole made the fish want to slip out of the taco, but was tasty nonetheless.
My Rating:

These were really tasty. My husband and I both liked that there was a slight sweetness to them. It was a little different from what we have had before, but a good mix of flavors. I think the amount of fish we had was too small for the taco and price.
